Street

What draws me is the unstaged street scene. People in motion, unaware that they are part of an image. Sometimes an encounter arises face to face — a silent agreement, something candid in a fleeting moment. Street photography has stayed with me since the eighties, but deepened when I moved from distant observation toward presence and participation. The images have shifted from the concrete toward something more open to interpretation. The viewer is left to discover the image from their own perspective. It is not documentation. It is a search for something real in what passes by.
